Pit Beast
The book of Revelation reveals foretold history and current events. In Revelation 17 we find the harlot riding the beast. This 'beast' we are told in verses 8 & 11 is the 'beast from the bottomless pit' and the eighth and final 'head' of the beast. The symbolism is identified with the world empire ruling today!
The Pit Beast is the Vatican's New World Order, responsible for the revolutions that replaced the monarchies of the Holy Roman Empire (old world order) with secular republics, that has since grown into a global empire with financial and political bodies in London, Washington and New York City, including the Council on Foreign Relations who were instrumental in founding the United Nations after World War II.
The Beast from the Bottomless Pit
The beast from the bottomless pit is the political force behind the American and French revolutions of the late 18th century, and continues today.
The first mention of the 'pit beast' is in Revelation 11; the setting is France during the revolution of 1789-1798. ("spiritually Sodom and Egypt" after the prophetic 1260 years.)
"And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and three score days, clothed in sackcloth ... And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified." (Revelation 11:3,7,8)
Letting scripture define its own symbolism, a 'beast' is a kingdom (Dn 2 & 7:23) or empire that rules over many nations. (e.g., Four Empires of Daniel)
The pit beast is found again in later chapters of the book of Revelation.
17:3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit on a scarlet colored beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
17:7 And the angel said to me, Why did you marvel? I will tell you the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carries her, which has the seven heads and ten horns.
17:8 The beast that you saw was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.
17:9 And here is the mind which has wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sits.
17:10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he comes, he must continue a short space.
17:11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goes into perdition.
Notice the woman rides the beast (v3) and rides these mountains or heads (v9).
The Seven Heads
Also found in Rev 13, the beast is described rising out of the sea with seven heads and ten horns.
13:1 And I stood on the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads the name of blasphemy.
13:2 And the beast which I saw was like to a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
This symbolism is a composite of babylonian characteristics of all four beasts of Daniel 7 (add the heads-total seven). As the fourth beast the Roman Empire took on the babylonian characteristics of the previous empires. The Roman Empire is the seventh head (pagan & papal).
• Babylonian Empire (1) head.
• Medo-Persian Empire (2) head.
• Greek Empire (3,4,5,6) heads. (Dn.7:6)
• Roman Empire (7) head.
At this point the harlot rides the pit beast (Rev 17:8) as the eighth and final head (v11) of the Roman Empire. The papal states-holy roman empire received the deadly wound by this pit beast at the French Revolution in 1798. (Rev 11 & 13 after the 1260 years.)
The pit beast has 'ten horns' or kings. These symbolic ten horn-kings are also the 'ten toes' of Daniel 2:44 that are destroyed at the Second Coming.
17:12 And the ten horns which you saw are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.
17:13 These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength to the beast.
17:14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
17:15 And he said to me, The waters which you saw, where the whore sits, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.
17:16 And the ten horns which you saw on the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.
17:17 For God has put in their hearts to fulfill his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom to the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.
The Pit Beast from the Roman Earth
Rev 13:11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spoke as a dragon.
The 'beast' is a kingdom or empire. Empires rule over many nations. The 'horn' is a king and kings rule over nations.
"Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise:" (Daniel 7:23, 24)
Early Christians were most all historicist. William Miller was one such historicist who presents the common view of the symbolic 'earth':
"This first vial was poured upon the earth, meaning the kingdom of the beast or the Roman government." (William Miller, Lecture XV, the Seven Vials)
According to Miller, and other historicists of the time, the symbolic 'earth' is the Roman earth of Daniel 2's Roman legs of iron; the region of all Bible prophecy. The earth beast is from the Roman earth-territory.
Notice the difference between 'earth' and "world":
16:14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth to the kings of the earth and of the whole world,
The kings of the Roman empire at this point rule the whole world.
The beast from the earth (Rv 13:11) and the beast from the pit (Rv 11:7) rise following the 1260 years as they are the same beast! Chapter 13 gives more detail about this new 'head' of the Roman beast: the two lamb-like horns, symbolizing Christian nations (not Muslim or Buddhist). The pit beast from the Roman earth had two Christian nations in 1798: USA & France. (The New World became part of the Roman earth after Columbus in 1492: Papal Bull of 1493.)

Empires are always found on their coinage. The declaration of the New World Order is found on the US $1: 'Annuit Coeptis' is Latin for Announcing The Birth Of and 'Novus Ordo Seclorum' or New World Order. Therefore it says: Announcing The birth Of The New World Order. The date in roman numerals is 1776.
The Vatican's NWO had two nations in 1798 (Rv 11 & 13). By 1870 there were ten nations (Rv 17). These ten nations dissolved the holy roman empire, and Babylon 'fell' or Rome was stripped naked of her empire by the fire of revolution.(Rv 18)

The Vatican's NWO is the 'image' of the Holy Roman Empire, the old order. In 1789 France, the Bible and Christianity were banned by law; the guillotine was instituted for all dissent, slaughtering the priesthood and anyone who supported them - with the mark of the beast - having rejected the Protestant Reformation - the three angels' message (Rv 14:6-12).
The Three Woes
The 7th seal opened the seven trumpets. The 7th trumpet opens the seven vials. The 5th & 6th trumpets were the first two 'woes' or judgment upon Rome's Eastern Orthodox empire as they lost power in the region to Islam. The third 'woe' was God's wrath or judgment upon Papal Rome's empire in the west.
Rv 11:14-18 "The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe comes quickly. And the seventh angel sounded; ... And the nations were angry, and your wrath is come,"
The Seven Vials
Revelation 16:1 "And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God on the earth."
First Vial
"And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image"
The year was 1789, and France was in a terrible predicament. After the St. Bartholomew's Day Massacre, and the Revocation of the Edict of Nantes, most of the best and brightest people were killed or driven into exile. Instead of the true Gospel, a tirade of infidelity and atheistic propaganda came from the pens of men like Montesquieu, Voltaire and Rousseau. "From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds, and bruises, and putrefying sores." (Is 1:6)
Second Vial
"And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea"
France now became a sea of turmoil and blood! The guillotine was set up, and the Reign of Terror commenced. The guillotine was kept busy day and night in all parts of France. 24,000 priests were murdered. It was the St. Bartholomew's Day Massacre in reverse. The persecutors were now the persecuted. Churches were destroyed, atheism was proclaimed the State religion. "But the wicked are like the troubled sea." (Is 57:20)
Third Vial
"And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of water: and they became blood"
The Rise of Napoleon. Napoleon proclaimed himself Emperor and went on a career of conquest the like of which the world had never seen. All the countries of Europe were affected by the Napoleonic wars. On the invasion of Italy by the French Revolutionists, the government of the Pope was overthrown. In 1798 General Berthier marched on Rome, set up a Roman Republic, and the Sovereign Pontiff was carried captive into France. The Papal States were annexed to the French Empire. Napoleon's career of conquest was finally ended at Waterloo. "And he said to me, The waters which you saw, where the whore sits, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues." (Rv 17:15)
"And I heard the angel of the waters say, You are righteous, O Lord, which are, and were, and shall be, because you have judged thus. For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and you have given them blood to drink; for they are worthy. And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are your judgments." (Rv 16:5-7)
Fourth Vial
"And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire"
The next great cataclysm was the Revolutions of 1848. After the defeat of Napoleon the deposed kings returned to their thrones and the Pope returned to Rome. Austrian Prince Metternich was the most reactionary leader at this time - he ruled Europe with an iron fist. He set up the Council of Vienna, which restored the Papal States to the Pope. Suddenly--and without warning--revolution broke out throughout most of the countries of Europe. It began in Paris on Feb. 23. "...that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live." (Rv 13:12-14)
Fifth Vial
"And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain and repented not of their deeds"
Fall of the Holy Roman Empire. The year was 1870, a milestone in world history. The Pope had just declared himself infallible when war broke out between France and Prussia. With the rapid Prussian victories, the French bayonets protecting the Pope's temporal dominions were withdrawn, and Italy was finally united and free. "And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come here; I will show unto you the judgment of the great whore that sits upon many waters: ...And the ten horns which you saw on the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire... And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen," (Rv 17:1 through 19:10)
Turning to the sixth vial; most all of Christianity admits we see the three unclean frog spirits at work today. Historicist interpretation allows no other course but the sixth vial does not precede the first five.
Sixth Vial
"And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the waters thereof were dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared"
Fall of the Orthodox at Moscow. 1917, the Russian Revolution conquers the Eastern Orthodox at Moscow. The River Euphrates was always the traditional barrier between East and West. Earlier in prophecy and history we find the symbolic Euphrates associated with the eastern Roman empire when Islam (locusts) conquered Constantinople. "Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates." (Rv 9:14)
"In the Bible the Euphrates is named among the four rivers which flowed from the Garden of Eden (Gn 2:14), and it formed the northeastern limit of the promised land (Gn 15:18). Throughout all periods it was the boundary between east and west, between the spheres of influence of Assyria and Egypt, and each of the great empires attempted the conquest of the borderland of Syria and Palestine. This is also true of the Persian period (Ez 4:10). In the Hellenistic and Roman periods the Euphrates served as the boundary between the kingdoms of Armenia and Cappadocia, Sophene and Commagene. In the early Roman period it separated Rome from Parthia."

Recent Meeting Could Mark Turning Point

Sometimes there are no fireworks. Turning points can pass in silence, almost unobserved. It may be that way with the "Great Schism," the most serious division in the history of the Church. The end of the schism may come more quickly and more unexpectedly than most imagine.
Rome-Moscow Relations Begin New Era

Things are moving on the Eastern front. And more movement may be coming soon, as an old winter chill in Rome-Moscow relations seems to be thawing, with profound consequences for Europe and the entire world.
"And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty." (Rv 16:13,14)
• From the Dragon: Mystery Babylon's New Age movement.
• From the Beast: The Pit Beast propagates atheism with claims of pagan 'science'.[1][2]
• From the False Prophet: Roman Catholicism. At this time (c.1900) the false doctrine to come from Rome was Christian-Zionism by way of Scofield. This theology swept all Christian seminaries.
Seventh Vial
"And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done. And there were voices, and thunders, and lightning; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were on the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great. And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give to her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath. And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. And there fell on men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great."
Events following 1917. Bombs of WW I & II fell from "the air" for the first time, ever. Cities of the nations fell. Earthquake in chapter 11 was symbolic of war. The 'great city' is symbolic for Rome's empire in chapters 17 & 18. The west was divided at this time by Communism, Nazism and Capitalism. The result of war was the Iron Curtain. Since the founding of the United Nations in 1945 there have been no more declared wars in the west. "And this shall be the plague with which the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand on their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth." (Zech 14:12)

Accordingly, the next event will be the Second Coming (Rev 19:11). There's literally nothing left before that blessed day!
Some Christians are predicting a time frame based on 120 x 50 year Jubilees (Gn 6:3), and Jesus' ministry in 27-28 AD + 2000 years (Hosea 6:2), often called the 'Millennial Week'.(video) "Jesus began to be tortured at first light on Passover. His ministry began in a Jubilee year 27-28 AD, enabling us to calculate every Jubilee year since, including the next one (2027-28)." (Can We Know?)
What will come next are the events of the Millennium.
